The last edit is a colorization of <a href="http://www.furaffinity.net/user/kaemantis/">KaeMantis</a>' <a href="http://ket-ralus.com/journal/2008/07/21/anthrocon-2008-art-part-2-of-4/">Brask & Ket drawing from Anthrocon 2008</a>. I started the colorization before I had even posted the original drawing on this site; that's how overdue it is. I used flat colors since Kae implied shading with her ink work. I did tweak the anatomy somewhat. While Kae is a great artist, it seems she did not have much experience drawing human-style male genitals, so her rendition looked odd to me. I also wanted Brask's toes to reflect the roundness of his character, contrary to Kae's usual style. Everything else was fine, and I really didn't want to meddle too much, so I left it as is.

Kae is very good at drawing reptilian creatures. I admit this openly.
The way she and Nazuu-M0nster (for example) draw Ket's head is somewhat of a target of my next official character revision, which is something for down the road. Even though Ket's design was originally (like six years ago) inspired by a Koopa Troopa, I've tried my best to move into an original style. However, it seems I still habitually add a bit of the Koopa likeness into Ket. First, the way his eyebrows raise above his head seem to give the impression that his eyes are directly on top of his head (like a Koopa), when they're actually set into a large, rounded skull. Second, his beak is a bit large, and the top of it sits a bit high on the face (like a Koopa).
I'll try to play around with his face just a little bit in future pictures of my own and see if there's some style that becomes the new standard. For now, the official reference I created is plenty good. But, enough of this tangent. ;P
Thanks to both of you for commenting on my journal. Seriously. Even if I don't respond to every comment, I appreciate each one that is made. You guys rock! =}
