Also known by the title "Caught!", this is the first part in a proposed trilogy of pictures commissioned by Benzen. Benzen is enjoying himself, when all of a sudden, unexpected visitors stop by to join in on the fun. You can see the first visitor in the background here. Who will be the next? Find out in Part 2! (Maybe.) Stay tuned...
This was started back in March, with some more sketching and inking done in July, and finally finishing here in September. I was pretty careless and let this drag on far longer than I could have, but I'm glad to have it done. This marks the first, and currently only, work to be done in Paint Tool SAI. It was daring for me to dive into a completely new drawing app in the middle of a commission, but I got the hang of things. The ability to use vectors for inking via the linework layers is fantastic; makes Illustrator feel like rubbish. Coloring with the water tool is pretty nice too, though I can't say it's better or easier than my coloring method in Photoshop. Then again, I still have a lot to experience and learn with this program... as I will keep using it.
Thanks for the patience, Ben! I'm glad you enjoy the picture. =}
He can only see part of the action from his current view. Guess he'll have to come on in and have a front row seat. Maybe even be a volunteer for the show. =}
I'm not sure if this sequence will be completed, but here's a comment about future entries for posterity:
"Ben is in between Ket & Brask as far as height goes. Draw him like he were one of your characters as far as body size and type go. Next picture (Part 2) is Ben in Ket's lap being pounded, with Brask then peeking in from the background, and the last one (Part 3) is all three of them."
