This drawing was started last month in an oC session with Argon Vile and Revamp.
It's purpose was to provide me with a new avatar! Yes, my K7 logo has finally retired; existing now only as a favicon for my website.
oC is where I did the base sketch, but then I put this on hold for a month to take care of other things. I picked back up in Photoshop for inks and colors. I wanted to keep the color simple and the contrast modest to save time and to maintain focus on the inked lines. There was probably some other good reason I had for doing that, but I forgot. I originally wanted some type of color pattern in the background, but since Ket's colors ended up so simple, I didn't want the background to stand out against him.
Late one night while trying to fall asleep, I came up with a great idea (as often happens in this situation). This idea was for the stylized Kinmotsu7/K123☼4567 logo shown in the bottom left. I'm surprised at how well the gimmick works, especially when the number at the end of my name was originally just tacked on post-haste.
