This is an edit I did last month but only recently decided to post. It is based off this image: >>2108
The purpose of this edit is to explore the possible styles of their feet. As you may notice, this edit gives each of the two a different number of toes. This is NOT to imply they actually have a different amount. Rather, I did this for easier decision making. See, I originally gave the characters 4 toes (>>10115 & >>10255), then switched to 3 toes (>>10516) with the idea that it may somehow be more accurate... In reality, it's whatever I want it to be, and I'm currently leaning towards 4 toes.
I like it better with three toes - dunno why, I just do~
I guess its "oddness" appeals more to me. The less it's like us, the more fascinating I find it. Hence, why I'm attracted to so many "strange" things. :)
I'm glad you could see it my way, Ket. But then again, you and I seem to share similar tastes, so... ;)
Adapting a stylistic choice based on the preference of the picture in question, is a good idea. Doing what seems the best, yes? It's kinda like that "balls or no balls" mentality in our art! Sometimes it fits and seems right, whiles at other times, it's best to just skip 'em, and keep them internal~
Well, when it comes to balls, I'm pretty hard-set on having them external. That's just my preference. But I've already talked about this at length in the past.
