This entry catalogs the rest of the art I got in my <em>Original Characters</em> book since FC.
<h3>A. "Ket sketches" by <a href="http://www.furaffinity.net/user/fel/">FEL</a></h3>
While at FC, I drew FEL a couple Ninja Turtles (to be posted soon-ish) and he offered to draw for me in exchange. I told him to do something with my characters, and he drew some sketches of Ket. =} I like the cute style he applied to Ket here; it looks very nice! Thank you, FEL!
<h3>B. "Ket & Brask" by <a href="http://mauvette.net/">Steve Martin</a> a.k.a. El Spooky</h3>
Sitting next to FEL in the dealer's room at FC was Steve Martin. This guy used his best sales pitch on me (needing gas to get back home), in order to get me to commission him. I was very hesitant to do so because I disliked the style of the adult art he had on display, but I figured I'd give him a shot. I gave some instructions about what I like, and he had my full color references of Ket & Brask. He ended up not finishing the drawing at the con, so he suggested I drive 100 miles to his house to get my book back. Yesterday I made the drive. Visiting him was kinda interesting, and he seems like a friendly guy. Plus I got my book back, complete with the drawing I paid for. But the drawing is... well, just take a look. I'm sure he put good effort into it, but he obviously doesn't understand the fundamentals of my characters' designs or what I'm interested in for that matter. I would like to say that accurately drawing characters such as mine is outside the scope of his abilities, but he has done some great clean art with a solid range of character sizes. I can't explain this.
<h3>C. "Ket sketches" by <a href="http://www.furaffinity.net/user/dreamous/">Dreamous</a></h3>
Immediately after leaving Steve's, I went to hang out with Dreamous, who was in Irvine on business. We had a fun time. During the visit, he decided to draw a picture of Ket for me. It came out good. =} He's improving very well on his drawing skill. Thank you, Dreamous!
Wow, Fel's version of you really is good... but honestly, I prefere your own version of Ket. He doesnt' seem right without your own artistic style... I guess that's a good thing honestly. *smiles*
